Employees that develop as good project mangers may progress to managerial positions. They therefore have management skills and generate a long-term vision of our company's evolution and our services and products. In order to facilitate the necessary support for this development, we have set up the Grontmij Academy and the leadership programmes.
Grontmij Academy stimulates competences
The De Grontmij Academy goes far beyond classical training courses. The participants study easily manageable cases, immerse themselves in role plays and activate their 'sleeping' knowledge by means of educational discussions. We therefore create the ideal environment for awakening dormant knowledge and maximising opportunities for growth. Back on the work floor, the manager helps the participant put the knowledge he or he has acquired into practice. A personal development plan and competency test also ensure that action and learning points can be followed up in a more targeted manner.
Leadership programmes, working (together) towards success
Each year Grontmij leadership programmes start with an intake of new managers. The programme begins with collective training sessions, tailored to our organisation. A good example of this is competence-based coaching. The manager's areas of development are then tackled effectively in a follow-up, based on individual career coaching sessions with a professional careers advisor and coaching on the job. The collective training sessions recur with clock-like regularity, so that new insights can be shared and knowledge improved.
