Environmental coordination
Grontmij supports the internal environmental coordinator or acts itself as an external environmental coordinator for:

• Applied legal advice regarding the Flemish, Brussels and Walloon environmental legislation, including technical proposals and feasible solutions
• Integral support of environmental certification applications
• Technical advice and support for the implementation of specific studies regarding investments in and the management of environmental aspects:
  • Evaluation and application of Best Available Techniques (BBT
  • Water consumption: evaluation of Best Available Techniques and reduction potentia
  • Wastewater management: evaluation, selection, management, treatment, measuring of wastewate
  • Storage of hazardous products
  • Air treatment: techniques, measuring strategies and solvent managemen
  • Energy saving and energy management
    
• Advice on and development of subsidy dossiers and declarations regarding taxes
• Administrative support regarding environmental annual reports and other administrative obligations

Environmental certificates and environmental administration
Grontmij supports the entire environmental certification process:

• Prior negotiation with the relevant government authorities
• The devolopment of notification dossiers class 3, license dossiers for class 2 and class 1 installations and article 45 dossiers
• The conformity check with the legal-administrative obligations
• The support and defence of the dossier with the environmental public authorities (including license committees and neighbourhood councils)

In addition, Grontmij is specialised in the efficient and timely handling of all administrative obligations, such as:

• Periodic administration in the framework of annual legal reporting, such as the integral environmental annual report (IMJV), declaration in the framework of the taxes on surface water, FOST-plus and Val-I-Pac, prevention plan packaging…
• Permanent administration, such as waste material register, solvents administration, register of hazardous products, register technical installations (a.o. cooling installations)…
• Ad hoc administration, such as user certificates for secondary raw materials, certification applications (processer, transporter…)
