Years of international expertise

Grontmij has a lot of experience in the development of energy transport projects. These projects include a.o. gas transport and electric transport (high voltage). Grontmij works for a.o. Fluxys and Elia.

Our expertise is in engineering and project management of technical installations, such as high voltage posts. We also handle the preliminary, the permit, the technical design and the construction of line infrastructure for energy transport.

Hot and cold networks
The rollout of a regional network for the distribution of decentralised generated heat and cooling energy (so-called distant heating) is gaining increasing attention. A.o. residual heat that is otherwise ‘destroyed’ and geothermal energy can be used more optimally as ‘green’ energy.  As a multidisciplinary organisation, Grontmij manages all aspects (concepts, permits, detailed engineering). Grontmij supports these types of projects with its years of international expertise, especially in Scandinavia. So as to place these projects in the right technical and economical context.
