At Grontmij we have a well-equipped department that takes care of the equipment discipline. Our equipment engineer's work consists of the following two components:

Equipment design

• Creating datasheets, requisitions, specifications for process equipment;  
• Mechanical design for heat exchangers; 
• Dimensioning pressure equipment including calculations; 
• Inspecting the engineering and execution of equipment vendors; 
• Purchasing equipment from the vendors; 
• Creating budget estimates.

Flexibility

• Flexibility analyses of pipeline systems;
• Troubleshooting and re-rating of existing equipment;
• Advice and guidance on the PED guideline;
• Checking and creating new pipe specifications;
• Specifying compensators and spring support.
