BnS Engineering changed its name on 20 April 2009: "Grontmij Industry"
Since 1991 BnS has been part of the international engineering firm, Grontmij. Because of the specific market in which BnS is active, namely industry, it has continued to work under its familiar old name, BnS Engineering.
So why change?
Grontmij gives its industrial activities a special place in its strategic development. And that is what BnS specialises in. Thanks to the proven efficiency of the model used, Grontmij sees BnS as an example and a centre of expertise for the industrial network within the group. So that BnS could play a full role, the name had to change: Grontmij Industry.
Why "Grontmij Industry"?
The choice for the name of "Grontmij Industry" was the result of long consideration. On one hand, Grontmij expressed its desire for the new name to match its own name. On the other, clear positioning as an industrial service provider was necessary to begin recognisable among the BnS target groups. Ultimately, "Grontmij Industry" was the best choice.
Retaining individuality and independence
Nothing will change with regard to methods, organisation or market approach. The name change reflects the flexibility of a small organisation and the stability and trust of a larger organisation.
Grontmij Industry remains a conglomeration of around 300 professionals. It's not the company name that counts, but the employees who make the company what it is and what it will be in the future.
